Yes I do if I am inspired. African wax print fabric represents Africa however it was created by Holland originally. We respect Vlisco who has 160 years history and trends African print fabrics as high quality material internationally.
The new fabric is used starch but it will be softer and softer after you continue to wear and wash.
The color runs out a little in the first wash. You don’t even see the changes and then the colors stay almost forever. This is the one of reasons why I love African wax fabric.
You can wash by regular wash machine as color products. We recommend hanging dry. If you want to use a dryer please set low temperature.
Our clothing is made in New York. This is my understanding that there is different standard so I want consumers to feel confortable to buy and wear. By the way African tailors are excellent for a custom made!
I go to buy fabrics in Africa (mostly Senegal and Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania so far) and also in New York by need.
『WADA』 is my family name in Japan and “WA” is a part of word “heiWA=peace”. Also “WADAda” means “peace and love” in Yorba in Nigeria and my Indian friend told me “WADA” means “peace” in one of Indian languages. I think the name connects globally.
